As we head into the final months of 2026, CPFD continues to expand the capabilities and resources available to Barracuda Virtual Reactor users. This month, we're highlighting recent work in reduced-order modeling, new and updated Application Models, and newly available materials from the 2026 Barracuda Virtual Reactor Users Conference.
A Look Ahead: Machine Learning Accelerated Barracuda Workflows
CPFD has been actively developing new reduced-order modeling (ROM) capabilities to help users bring the insights of high-fidelity Barracuda simulations into faster, more accessible predictive workflows.
A new ROM product for Barracuda is currently in development and is expected to be available by the end of 2026. In the meantime, we invite you to explore some of our recent work.

BVRUC26 Materials Now Available
Missed the 2026 Barracuda Virtual Reactor Users Conference, or want to revisit a presentation? Conference materials are now available online. The collection includes presentations from CPFD staff and Barracuda users covering a broad range of applications, modeling approaches, and recent developments in Barracuda Virtual Reactor. We hope these resources provide useful insight into the latest developments in Barracuda and give you new ideas for applying the software to your own work.
Application Models are ready-to-use examples of Barracuda simulations for a wide range of industrial applications. Models can be downloaded, run, and post-processed today, giving users a starting point for exploring Barracuda capabilities and adapting simulations to their own applications.
