About This Video
This video demonstrates the new discrete bubble modeling capabilities available in Barracuda Virtual Reactor 22.1. The system shown is an ebullated bed reactor containing a fluidized bed of catalyst in a liquid-filled system. Discrete bubbles are introduced, flow through the distributor, and interact with the surrounding liquid and catalyst. Chemical reactions are modeled in the liquid phase and in the vapor phase within the bubbles. To learn more, watch the “Getting Started with Virtual Reactor 22.1” release webinar recording.
This simulation video was taken from the opening remarks of the 2022 Barracuda Virtual Reactor Users’ Conference, presented by VP of Operations Peter Blaser.
