In this study, the gas and solid behaviors in a pilot-scale circulating fluidized bed combustor were investigated by using Barracuda numerical simulations under oxy-fuel combustion conditions.
CPFD Software announces expansion of its team by adding Dr. Shashank Karra to its growing team of experts who is skilled in thermal-fluid sciences and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) applications.
CPFD Software has been invited to speak at Fluidization XVII on May 21-25, 2023 in Edinburgh Scotland. James Parker would present on ‘Today’s Tools in the Scale up and Optimization of Today’s Fluidized Processes’ and ‘The Development of Improved Particle Drag Force Correlations for CFD Simulation’. The work is co-authored by Ray Cocco (PSRI) and Peter Blaser (CPFD Software).
CPFD Software’s Peter Blaser would gave a lecture about “Simulation of Industrial-Scale Fluidized Beds and Fluid-Particle Systems” on Thursday, May 11, 2023 which is highly recommended for engineers and researchers working with fluidized bed and fluid-particle processes.
