CPFD Software are excited to participate in Altair’s ATCx Discrete Element Method virtual conference. VP of Operations Peter Blaser will be speaking on “Complementing DEM for Large-Scale, Thermal, Reacting, Multiphase Systems”.
Peter’s presentation will explore how the Barracuda Virtual Reactor technology is used to complement DEM simulation for large scale, thermal, reacting systems. Barracuda Virtual Reactor, available through the Altair Partner Alliance, is a physics-based engineering software package that simulates the three-dimensional, transient, fluid-particle hydrodynamics, heat transfer, and chemical reactions in industrial fluidized bed reactors and other fluid-particle systems. In this session CPFD Software will present the Virtual Reactor software, discuss when it should be considered as a complement to DEM, and illustrate the concepts with industrial case studies.
Since its debut in 2020, ATCx DEM has become the premier global virtual technology conference dedicated to the discrete element method (DEM) for bulk and granular material simulation. This engaging event brings together a global community of engineers, researchers, and scientists to explore the groundbreaking applications of DEM across diverse industries. ATCx DEM 2024 will span three major time zones – Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America. Enjoy enhanced accessibility with closed captioning and live audio translations into multiple languages.
