Inaeris Technologies is world leader in the development of the catalytic fast pyrolysis (CFP) process for producing transportation fuels from lignocellulosic biomass. In early 2015, Inaeris selected CPFD Software’s Barracuda Virtual Reactor as the software platform on which to develop custom CFD-based models for their CFP process.
CPFD Software has invited Inaeris Technologies’ Manager of Process Research and Modeling, Bruce Adkins PhD, to discuss how Inaeris Technologies’ pilot-scale cold flow unit was used to calibrate the Virtual Reactor™ model development for both catalyst-only and catalyst-biomass co-feed operation, adding confidence to the scale-up on the CFP technology.
