PSRI’s Basic Concepts in Fluidization takes place on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 9:00 AM CDT.

Fluidized bed reactors are widely used in many process industries such as catalytic cracking, fluid coking, coal combustion and polyethylene production. This is because of the fluidized bed’s superiority as a gas-solids contacting technique. The basic concepts of the different fluidization regimes, how they differ and the relative advantages and disadvantages of each will be addressed. Minimum and complete fluidization velocities, the dominating effect of particle size, basic distributor and cyclone design, entrainment and the effect of operating conditions on fluidized beds will be discussed and explained in the webinar.  Register here.
