CPFD will be speaking at the 2024 AFPM Summit, October 15-17, 2024. CPFD Software will be speaking as part of the “Proactively Managing FCC Reliability and Performance: Two Refinery Case Studies” session at 2:15 on October 16. As part of that session, VP of Operations Peter Blaser will be giving a joint presentation with Rob Montgomery of Chevron Pascagoula entitled “Chevron Pascagoula FCC Regenerator Optimization via Modeling”.
About AFPM
The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) is the leading trade association representing the makers of the fuels that keep us moving, the petrochemicals that are the essential building blocks for modern life and the midstream companies that get our feedstocks and products where they need to go. We make the products that make life better, safer and more sustainable — we make progress.
AFPM’s mission is to:
- Advocate for public policy that benefits members, consumers, and the nation;
- Educate policymakers, the media and the public on the value our members and their products provide our nation and the world;
- Provide strategic business and technical information to our members; and
- Be the most trusted voice of the petroleum refining and petrochemical sectors.
About CPFD Software
CPFD Software is advancing multiphase simulation and technology. Our flagship product, Barracuda Virtual Reactor®, is a physics-based engineering software package that simulates the three-dimensional, transient, fluid-particle hydrodynamics, heat balance, and chemical reactions in industrial fluidized bed reactors and other fluid-particle systems.
We assist refineries worldwide by addressing FCCU problems related to emissions, catalyst circulation, erosion/reliability, afterburn, and catalyst losses, reducing the risk associated with troubleshooting or planning changes to the FCCU or components. The same technology is also utilized for other downstream applications including ebullated bed reactors, plastic recycling technologies, polyolefin production, catalytic dehydrogenation systems, and more.
The Virtual Reactor technology can be accessed via software licensing, services, or custom collaborative arrangements.
