This simulation video demonstrates one of Barracuda Virtual Reactor version 23.1’s new features, the Radl-Sundaresan drag model. Note how the drag model offers an increased fidelity in simulating the particle physics and fluid dynamics of a fluidized bed gasifier on a coarse grid without additional model calibration as is typically done when using other drag models.
