At this year’s event, Peter Blaser, Vice President of Engineering Services for CPFD, has been invited to present Simulation as a Risk-Reduction Tool for Turnaround Planning on Wednesday, November 28 at 3:20 PM as part of Stream C: Process Optimisation & Design – Corcier 1. Virtual testing of proposed design and/or operational changes prior to a turnaround may result in multiple outcomes; the simulation results could confirm the benefit of the proposed changes, identify and reduce downside risks related to the proposed changes prior to implementation, or identify further areas of improvement. This presentation introduces the risk-reduction concept and illustrates each possible outcome via case studies from multiple global refiners, and guidelines are included for how refiners can utilize simulation effectively as part of their turnaround planning strategy.
We will also be exhibiting during the conference. So attend our presentation, stop by Stand Number 4, or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a meeting ahead of time. Learn more about the conference and registration here.
