CPFD Software (Houston, TX) and Renix have entered into a software licensing agreement.
Renix is using Virtual Reactor to accelerate technology development in ion exchange-based liquid separation and purification processes that transform traditional, resource-intensive batch operations into steady-state processes, minimizing the use of consumables such as acids and bases and maximizing separation and co-product recovery with a minimal environmental footprint.
Renix’s applications are implemented to extract the most value, often in non-traditional value-added applications, securing consistent, high-quality resources in an effective and sustainable way.
“Renix utilizes a unique combination of fluid and particle flows that is challenging to model using traditional CFD tools. By leveraging the modeling capabilities of Barracuda Virtual reactor, we are able to quickly develop and optimize our systems for a host of customer applications,” says Rob Haas, Director of Engineering & Project Delivery.
