Abstract: CPFD numerical simulation method is used to analyze the different ways of reducing the resistance of cyclone (expanding the inlet area and increasing the inner cylinder diameter), focusing on its influence on the pressure loss and separation efficiency. The results show that the effect of reducing pressure loss for different ways of expanding the inlet area (external expansion, internal expansion, lower expansion and upper expansion) are less distinctive, but the methods of internal expansion and lower expansion have a certain negative impact on the dust collection efficiency; With the expansion of the inner cylinder diameter, the resistance and separation efficiency of cyclone decrease in varying degrees.
