DTU and FLSmidth Publish CPFD Predictions for Cement Calciner NO Emissions

January 22, 2021

NO Emission from Cement Calciners Firing Coal and petcoke: A CPFD Study was published in the January 2021 issue of Applications in Energy and Combustion Science.  In the article, researchers and engineers from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and FLSmidth compare the Barracuda Virtual Reactor predictions of NO emissions from two in-line cement calciners with operational data for coal- and petcoke-firing conditions.

Congratulations to Mohammadhadi Nakhaei, Damien Grévain, Lars Skaarup Jensen, Peter Glarborg, Kim Dam-Johansen, and Hao Wu for this detailed work and for sharing your results with the global cement industry and Virtual Reactor user communities.
