Beijing Hi-key Technology Co. Ltd., is CPFD Software’s distributor in the People’s Republic of China. If you are located there and are interested in attending a training, please email them here.
CPFD is an advanced numerical simulation technology that is particularly suitable for processing systems containing a large number of particles and complex fluid flows. Since version 22.1, Barracuda has built-in liquid phase models and bubble models to realize the heat and mass transfer processes between solid particles-liquid and liquid-bubbles in liquid phase fluids. Based on this, and with the help of Barracuda software’s CPU/GPU efficient parallel computing capabilities, industrial-scale fluidized bed simulations can be achieved, such as the fluidized bed hydrocatalytic cracking process in the petrochemical field, to guide researchers in design and optimization.
Note: The ebullating bed hydrocracking process refers to the process in which the residual oil feed is mixed with hydrogen and then enters the reactor from the bottom . The catalyst particles in the reactor are in a boiling state due to internal and external circulation . The ebullating bed hydrocracking process was first developed by the U.S. Hydrocarbon Research Institute (HRI) and Urban Services Corporation. The process is called the hydrogen-oil (H-Oil) hydrocracking process.
