We are pleased to announce the release of Barracuda Virtual Reactor 17.4.
This latest release further improves speed-up and ease of use, allowing users to more quickly and easily simulate complex systems through enhanced project set-up and modification. The 17.4 release includes several major features including:
- GPU Calculation of Volume-Average Chemistry
Virtual Reactor™ now calculates volume-average chemistry on the GPU. Timing tests show a significant speed increase over previous versions. - User-Defined Chemical Reaction Rate Coefficients
Users are able to define reaction rate coefficients in a very powerful new way, adding a large degree of flexibility and new variables that can be used in rate coefficients, including time, location, particle residence time, relative velocity, and Reynolds number. - Output Raw Particle Data at Internal Flux Planes
Previously available only at boundary condition flux planes, this feature expands the output of raw particle data to internal Flux Planes.
We also encourage users to check the Known Issues page for a listing of bug fixes in this release.
Send us your feedback
We want to hear from you! Please let us know your experience with Virtual Reactor™ 17.4 as well as your suggestions for future features or improvements.
