CPFD Software and Laempe Reich will host a two-day Arena-flow Coremaking Workshop October 6–7, 2026, at Laempe Reich’s facility in Trussville, Alabama. The hands-on workshop will combine Arena-flow simulation with practical coremaking and validation, giving participants the opportunity to follow the process from simulation and design through production and testing.
The workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of the cold box coremaking process before moving into hands-on simulation and testing. Participants will work through core venting design and core blowing simulations in Arena-flow, followed by a demonstration of core curing simulation. On the second day, the workshop will focus on post-processing and analysis before participants move into the coreroom to test and validate their results against actual blown cores. This combination of simulation and practical testing is designed to provide a direct connection between virtual predictions and real-world coremaking results.
Participants should bring a laptop for the hands-on Arena-flow portions of the workshop. Cloud computing instances will be provided, so the laptop will be used to access and interact with the simulations rather than running the computational workloads locally.
The workshop will take place at Laempe Reich, 4850 Commerce Drive, Trussville, AL 35173, on October 6–7. Registration is $299 per attendee, with an early-registration rate of $249 for registrations received by September 8. Space is limited, so attendees are encouraged to register early by contacting registration@cpfd-software.com.
As part of the workshop, all participants will receive a 30-day Arena-flow license, allowing them to apply the techniques covered during the workshop to their own cores and continue building experience with Arena-flow after the event.
