CPFD Software has again been invited to speak at the 9th ARRC – JCCP/Idemitsu International Symposium, to be held 4-6 February, 2020 in Abu Dhabi.
Rajat Barua, President of CPFD, will speak on the topic of Simulation’s Role in the Digital Transformation of Refineries at 10:40 AM on 5 February. This presentation looks at the changing role of simulation for refiners, using simulation of the FCC unit as an example. Simulation use cases are shown ranging from reactive to proactive to transformative, including trouble-shooting underperforming units, turnaround risk reduction, technology development, knowledge management, and the creation of FCCU digital asset libraries.
“The CPFD team is pleased to continue its long-standing relationship with ADNOC Refining Research Center (ARRC) and partners Japan Cooperation Center Petroleum (JCCP) and Idemitsu,” said Peter Blaser, Vice President of CPFD. “The GCC region has shown international leadership in their adoption of Virtual ReactorTM for the design, scale-up and troubleshooting of fluidized bed reactors in refining and petrochemical applications, and ARRC continues to be a leader in this area.”
To arrange for one-on-one meetings prior to the symposium, please contact us at info@cpfd-software.com.
Please visit our FCCU Resources Page for additional information on CPFD’s involvement with refining applications.
Update: Due to unforeseen circumstances the 2020 Symposium has been cancelled. CPFD Software is pleased to return to the GCC for the 2020 Middle East Refining Technologies Conference (MERTC) in Bahrain, to be held 2-4 March, 2020.
