CPFD is a proud sponsor of the World Refining Association‘s 2018 Latin America Refining Technology Conference (LARTC). This year’s event will be held from October 16 – 18, 2018 in Santiago, Chile. Join us during the event at the following presentations:
Peter Blaser, Vice President of Engineering Services for CPFD, presents The Changing Role of Simulation During an FCC Operational Cycle on Thursday, October 18 at 12:10 PM during Stream A: Digital Technologies. The presentation examines the benefits and constraints of using simulation at multiple points in the operational cycle between turnarounds including considerations related to timing, collaboration between stakeholders, and economics. Case studies from multiple global refineries, performed using Barracuda Virtual Reactor®, are presented to illustrate the use of simulation for establishing baseline behavior, turnaround planning, post-audit analysis, and responding to unexpected scenarios including unplanned shutdowns.
Raj Kanwar Singh, Sr. Technologist for TechnipFMC, presents Optimizing FCC Regenerator Design and Performance Using CFD Modeling Thursday, October 18 at 3:45 PM during Stream A: Digital Technologies. The presentation exhibits a case study on an FCC regenerator revitalization in order to mitigate operational challenges and improve mechanical robustness. The process included the use of CFD modeling tools to confirm the adequacy of the proposed hardware changes, fine tune the design, and evaluate system performance in order to minimize potential startup risks.
We will also be hosting a booth and would love to connect with you.
