Presented by Peter Blaser, Vice President of Engineering, CPFD, LLC
Join us for this free webinar where Peter Blaser, CPFD’s Vice President of Engineering Services, will share his talk as presented at the January, 2018, Middle East Refining Technology Conference (MERTC) in Manama, Bahrain.
Many FCC units can be operated more profitability, but changes in pursuit of more efficient operation can be risky. Gains obtained via modifications to a stable but sub-optimal process can be quickly erased if unforeseen, adverse effects are experienced, particularly if the changes result in an unplanned shutdown. Challenges in identifying and addressing the root cause of under-performance, combined with the fear of unforeseen impacts, often result in a strong preference for the status quo. There is a better way.
This webinar presents the relationship between simulation and refinery economics, and demonstrates the concepts via industrial case studies from multiple global refiners. Examples shown include regenerator emissions reduction, minimization of regenerator afterburn, reactor and regenerator reliability improvements, catalyst circulation stability assessment, and stripper performance prediction.
At the end of the webinar, we will also welcome questions from attendees and will answer as many as time allows.
