CPFD is proud to be a Silver Sponsor at the event and will be staging an exhibit. \nThe U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has again joined GTI Energy to co-host tcbiomass2024\, which focuses on the science of thermochemical conversion of biomass and municipal solid waste (MSW) to renewable gas (RNG)\, liquid fuels\, and chemicals. This unique conference\, with a theme of Achieving A Net Zero Future\, highlights real-world commercial opportunities. \nDevelopments in the conversion of renewable resources into a variety of fuels\, chemicals\, and energy products are driving the emergence of an increasingly diverse and significant bioeconomy and tcbiomass2024 will bring people together to discuss this in depth. \nPedro Ortiz-Toral\, GTI Energy’s Program Director\, Bioenergy; Robert Baldwin\, Principal Scientist at NREL; and Berend Vreugdenhil\, Senior Scientist at TNO and Chair of IEA Bioenergy Task 33 – Gasification\, are the conference chairs for this event. \nThis is the eighth biennial conference and it is expected to draw from all over the world\, with past attendees representing 30 different countries and approximately 200 organizations. Building off the success of past sessions\, tcbiomass2024 is anticipated to attract researchers\, scientists\, engineers\, developers\, policymakers\, commercializers\, and funders for three days of keynote presentations\, including topics on technology commercialization and deployment activities\, focused peer-reviewed scientific presentations\, exhibits\, and posters.

For 2022\, the program has been expanded to include MSW as a feedstock\, and to feature RNG as a product of thermochemical conversion in addition to liquid fuels and chemicals. \nKeynote speakers from the U.S. Department of Energy\, national laboratories\, the European Union\, and the energy industry have headlined past tcbiomass conferences\, as well as a number of speakers selected by peer review following a call for papers.
